The official Github repository of elementary tweaks now explains the installation process:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:philip.scott/elementary-tweaks && sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install elementary-tweaks
If you have never added a PPA on Loki before, you might need to run this command first:
sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
Deprecated (from 2014)
After installing elementary OS I encountered two annoying issues:
- The file explorer of Luna is set to single click. So I came from Windows to LunaOS and so I am used to double clicking.
- I’m missing an minimize button in the windows.
To get rid of that I installed elementary tweaks that lets us customize a lot of aspects of elementary OS.
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:versable/elementary-update sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install elementary-tweaks
After installation we can find tweaks in
System settings -> Tweaks. Now let’s „fix“ my issues:
applications -> fileswe disable single click.
general -> apperancewe can customize the window buttons. I’d advice you to try it yourself due to all changes take effect in place.
